Product Marketing Manager
Summary:
This senior product marketing manager will lead a team of product marketing managers in defining, shepherding, launching and supporting new products. By working closely with sales, customers, engineering and management; this person will develop and drive a near-term and long-term strategic market and product plan. The senior product marketing manager will be responsible for defining target markets and applications, leading product launch initiatives, establishing pricing, competitive positioning. In addition, the senior product marketing manager will work closely with marketing communications in the development of product collateral, and targeting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop market analysis and near-term and long-term strategic plan.
- Develop detailed product plans such as road maps, product positioning, competitive positioning, market requirement documents, etc.
- Provide clear communications to engineering that identify goals, priorities, performance targets, etc. to ensure product requirements are well understood and aligned to hit performance and cost targets.
- Work closely with sales and strategic accounts to ensure that product development efforts are well aligned with market needs and finished products achieve optimal balance of performance, ease of use and cost.
- Develop launch plan, pricing and sales support material for new product launches.
- Work with marketing communications to develop product collateral.
- Provide product support and technical assistance to sales team as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- MBA preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in product marketing
- Sales experience a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong technical writing ability and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multi task
- Ability to promote product with high energy
- Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 20% annually
- In depth technical and market knowledge in one or more of the following areas is desired but not required.

Sales Engineer
Reports to: Director of Sales
The primary focus of the sales engineer is identifying and closing new business within the fast growing efficiency, conservation, and alternate energy markets.
Primary Responsibilities:
This position requires a highly motivated, self-starter individual driven to generate new business and exceed sales objectives. Ability to employ a consultative selling approach with energy consulting firms, project engineers, electrical contractors, utilities, facility managers, etc. Assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Monitor and report on energy industry trends and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the competitive environment. Provides technical training to clients and communicates customer feedback for future product developments. Uses technical knowledge of applications and product offerings to support and build effective, long term relationships with customers.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have application and sales experience in the energy conservation industry, utility, or commercial electrical industry with knowledge of data acquisition equipment and measurement & verification needs. Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience. Must have 3-5 years of experience selling instrumentation, sensors and/or electronics within the B2B space. Willing to travel approximately 40%.
