Software Updates

Qualified versions:

The following updates to HOBOware® software are available to customers of Onset Computer Corporation under the terms of the License Agreement contained in the installation programs. Users of HOBOware Pro for Windows or Mac can download and install HOBOware Pro 3.0 as an update to their existing installation.

Added in HOBOware Pro 3.0 for Windows and Mac: ™

• Support for Onset's new HOBO Conductivity Data Logger and inclusion of the new conductivity data assistant which enables start/end-point calibration to compensate for any fouling and provides easy conversion to specific conductance and salinity.
• Enhanced HOBOware plotting preferences—font, line style, y-axis scaling, saving settings
• Ability to open multiple datafiles in one step
• Series cropping - select timeframes for one or multiple data series
• File and series merging - combining data from multiple files into one file, and merging series from the same sensor/logger into one data series.
• Opening and plotting, exporting data files from previously unsupported (legacy H-series) loggers
• Additional toolbar icons for opening Filter and Add Graph Label windows
• Ability to export directly to .xls (Excel) format
• Option to submit a technical support request to Onset directly from the Help menu, which will automatically include log files that will be needed in the case of a problem.

• Ability to open multiple datafiles in one step
• File and series merging - combining data from multiple files into one file, and merging series from the same sensor/logger into one data series.

The Alarm and Readout Tool

The Alarm and Readout Tool (formerly known as Real-Time Alarm Software) is a plug-in tool that works in conjunction with HOBOware Pro to read data from HOBO® data loggers and provides real-time alarm notification when conditions exceed user-defined limits. This software also allows you to schedule logger readouts with options to store the data locally or to forward it by e-mail or FTP. The loggers can be connected directly to the computer via a USB or Serial port, or remotely through an inexpensive USB server on an Ethernet network. The Alarm & Readout Tool works with all USB loggers, Micro/Weather Station and Energy Logger Pro. BoxCar Pro 4.0, 4.1, or 4.2 to BoxCar Pro 4.3 upgrade (11.5 MB)

This archive contains:

1. the file to upgrade for using the new HOBO Weather Station, HOBO Water Temp Pro, and HOBO LCD loggers.
2. low battery warning for the HOBO Shuttle and upgrade for PCs with power saving function. Download the software upgrade to assure successful logger launch. Without the upgrade, the PC's power-saving mode can signal the unit to discontinue logging immediately after launch resulting in loss of data.
3. corrects a data export problem in which BoxCar Pro 4.2.10 displays exported data without a fractional part, ie., digits to the right of the decimal point were not displayed.

BoxCar Pro for Mac

1. BoxCar Pro for MacOS is an unreleased application that has been made available on the internet in its current, untested form at the request of customers who wish to use Onset's newest logger models on their MacOS computers.
